Scholarships for Higher Education

Our Scholarship Programme is launched with an objective to provide educational opportunities to the academically meritorious and financially needy young students to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies and to train them in specified fields in order to improve their social and economic conditions, preserve their cultural and religious identities and make a meaningful contribution to the development of their communities and the country.

These scholarships are given as an interest-free loan to the students. It needs to be repaid after graduation and gainful employment, in easy installments. The repaid fund will be used to provide scholarships for other deserving students to ensure its continuity in the long run.

The Vision 2016 awarded a total of 7,697 scholarships this year on the basis of need for pursuing, post matriculation, under graduate and post graduate degrees in different disciplines of Social Sciences and Humanities. The amount of scholarships ranges from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 15,000 per annum per student depending upon the nature and standard of the course.

 
Awards for Academic Excellence

Scholarship is itself a catalyst for those students who are unable to access the available resources. Purpose of educational projects in Vision 2016 is to ignite and propel the students' self potential. The award distribution was a great step in a marathon. With a view to enhance the capacity, courage and zeal of education among school children, Vision 2016 started an ‘Awards for Academic Excellence’ program. The Award for Academic Excellence - 2009 (UP) was meant to encourage the students to continue performing better in future. It is to motivate the minority students for performing excellently in their academic studies. UP is the first state where Award Function was organized in Nov. 2009. Some 750 students from 46 districts, who passed the 10th standard examinations in 2009 with at least 60 % marks were felicitated. Each student was awarded with a merit certificate along with a cash prize. This award function was organized by our sister organization Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) in collaboration with P. M. Foundation, Kerala.

Apart from the students, the schools were also ranked according to their performances in last three academic sessions. Ten schools were facilitated with memento and certificates.
Budding Talents Promotion Scheme

The Vision 2016 has launched a Merit based Scholarship scheme for students who have passed the secondary school examination with good marks and are among the top 25 scorers in our Talent Search Examination. We will bear all educational expenses of these selected Students till they complete their education. They will be encouraged to pursue Research oriented courses. Currently, this project is being implemented in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It will be expanded to cover more states.
