The Award for Academic Excellence - 2009 (U.P.) was meant to encourage the students to continue performing better in their studies in future. It is to motivate the minority students for performing excellently in their academic studies. U.P. is the first state where Award Function was organized in Nov. 2009. Some 750 students from 46 districts, who passed the 10th standard examinations in 2009 with at least 60% marks, were felicitated. Each student was awarded with a merit certificate along with a cash prize.

This award function was organized by our sister organization Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) in collaboration with P. M. Foundation, Kerala. Apart from the students, the schools were also ranked according to their performances in last three academic sessions. Ten schools were facilitated with memento and certificates.
